About our meditation classes
Practical lessons for all levels
In our workshops you learn how to integrate meditation into your life. You receive exercises for practice at home, such as breathing exercises, visualisations and mantra’s. We also offer practical meditation tips about creating your own meditation space in your house and how to develop the discipline to meditate every day. And we talk about the spiritual dimensions of meditation and how to make inner progress in your life.
Offering free meditation classes is an inspiration given to us by our teacher Sri Chinmoy. He taught us that meditation is a birthright that cannot be bought or sold. In line with ancient Indian spiritual traditions we therefore offer all our classes free of charge.

Inspiring meditators with many years of experience
Abhinabha Tangerman meditates since 1996 and has been teaching meditation classes for over fifteen years in The Netherlands and Belgium. He is a member of the Sri Chinmoy Centre in Amsterdam and combines a soulful spiritual life with a dynamic outer life of sports, music and creativity. In daily life he is a freelance journalist and an avid marathon runner.
Sara Schmidt meditates since 2009 under the inner guidance of her spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy. She has had many special experiences and has been giving classes for a few years to share the wealth of meditation with others. Sara is a fervent long distance runner and has participated in several ultramarathons, such as the 6-Day and 10-Day Self-Transcendence races in New York.
Pradeep Hoogakker has been a member of the Sri Chinmoy Centre in The Hague since 1999 and has taught meditation for over fifteen years. Pradeep loves singing, poetry and running. He has participated twice in the longest certified foot race in the world, the Self-Transcendence 3100 Mile Race in New York. He is a finisher of the 2011 edition. Pradeep recently published a collection of his spiritual poetry. He runs an organic supermarket in everyday life.
